Meet Jen Kehrer – Founder of Something Art Related

Hi! I’m Jen Kehrer the founder of Something Art Related (SAR) a creative space dedicated to art for healing, mindfulness, and personal growth. SAR is a “come as you are” welcoming environment for ALL individuals to feel something remarkable through the practice of something art related.

Art is a way of using your natural born creativity for self-expression and well-being. I create a welcoming and inspiring experience where you can explore this creativity, reduce your stress, and connect with others. I work with all skill levels, from those who say “I don’t have a creative bone in my body”, to seasoned creatives looking for a supportive space to grow. My personal experiences have shaped and grounded a passion to helping others release the pressures and stresses of being human through art.

I am passionate about providing guest artist nights, open mic events, and collaborative weekends with White Street Market. The space will provide a platform for local writers, poets, musicians, and visual artists to share their work with a live audience. The vision of Something Art Related is; a safe space for creativity, connection, and personal growth.

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications , with a focus on Art & Design, and a lifetime of experience creating and coaching others in art media, and have been a working artist for over 25 years. I create art everyday, and challenge myself to think bigger about how art is a healing and positive practice for anyone and everyone. I love to read and explore new areas of expression and creativity. I am currently pursing my clinical certification in Art Therapy, and SAR is where I can bring that knowledge and practice to life.

I hope to meet you and share with you the joy and happiness that comes from creating and experiencing Something Art Related.
